What we offer
A world-class health care system: The Danish healthcare system is based on the principles of free and equal access to healthcare for all citizens and offers high-quality services, the majority of which are financed by general taxes.
Excellent opportunities for personal development: In the Emergency Ward, we prioritise high medical standards and the development of professional skills. This means, among other things, that our doctors are upskilled to qualify as specialists in emergency medicine, and that we spend time and resources on good training pathways for our junior doctors as well as ongoing development of medical and managerial skills.
A great working environment: We consider a good working environment and a high level of well-being a prerequisite for creating good patient pathways. We work actively to promote the development of a “hospital without borders” when it comes to cooperation, both internally across specialisations and departments and externally with other hospitals, general practitioners, and municipalities. You can therefore expect to have many competent, passionate colleagues who are keen to collaborate and work together.
Flat structure with significant responsibility: We take pride in supporting those who desire to be at the forefront. If you have a good idea, you will find that there is a framework with a latitude of action to pursue it and put it into practice. Nor are we afraid to undo or reverse a wrong decision and we limit our bureaucracy to the bare minimum. You will have the opportunity to help make a professional mark on the ward and be one of the hospital’s “professional lighthouses”.
Very different patients – but always at the centre: With us, we guarantee that you will meet a wide variety of patients and specialisations. You get to be on the front lines, where the sudden crises of the citizens must be dealt with. Our patient base means that two days are never the same.
Scenic surroundings and a nice provincial town: Nykøbing Falster is in the most beautiful surroundings with an abundance of opportunities for water sports and other outdoor experiences, such as Stevns Klint (which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Denmark’s best beach, Marielyst Strand. Both Guldborgsund Municipality and Region Zealand are ready to provide help and advice for newcomers, and there are excellent nurseries and pre-schools, great private and public schools and a nice old town of a good size where you will find most everything you might need.
A good work-life balance: As a consultant you will work 37 hours per week. With the right qualifications, degrees, a limited amount of extra-work, nightshifts, and work on sun- and holidays, you’ll be able to earn more than the needed 9.100 € (pension included) per month that allows you to a guaranteed tax-scheme on 32,84%. The tax-scheme is targeted high-paid specialists and scientists moving to Denmark. All in all, a very attractive pay packet.
A bit about yourself: The main requirement is that you are a trained physician in respiratory medicine and motivated for working at Nykøbing Falster Hospital. Professionally, you are motivated by a lot of responsibility and task diversity. In addition, you have strong collaboration skills and contribute to the team with your good mood and high commitment.
