Consultant Psychiatrist - Primary Care Plus Team

Oxleas would like to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for a permanent post of Consultant Psychiatrist to join our friendly and forward-looking Primary Care Plus team.
Oxleas is a high performing Foundation Trust providing Community Adult and Paediatric Health Services for Bexley and Greenwich, mental health and learning disability services across the London Boroughs of Bromley, Bexley and Greenwich as well as Forensic and Challenging Behaviour services for these boroughs plus Lewisham and North Southwark.
We are seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist for our Primary Care Plus Team at Market Street Health Centre. The post holder will work alongside another full time consultant. The service is a locality based pathway of care which is the direct link between primary and secondary care services and focuses on tele-triage, providing direct advice and support to GPs and directing service users to the pathway that will specifically meet their needs.
The directorate actively supports continuing professional development of its staff - including any additional training needed to help achieve personal and professional goals. We have a strong commitment to patient safety and positive patient experience. Candidates who have other special interests will be encouraged to develop them and a job planning meeting will be offered within 3 months of taking up appointment.
You should be an enthusiastic and innovative clinician with the vision to develop new models of working in response to an increasing and changing community based demands. You should either be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of your expected CCT date at the time of interview.
