Leighton Hospital

Applications are invited for a Substantive Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will join a team of 10 Consultants based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe.

The Trust was rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC from its May 2018 inspection, has a good reputation for research and benefits from some of the very latest clinical facilities, these include: Critical Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, a new suite of state-of-the-art theatres and a dedicated day case Treatment Centre.

You will join a friendly and innovative team of 10 consultants within the department who currently provide services for Urogynaecology, Subfertility, Gynaecological Oncology and Fetomaternal medicine. The population served is approximately 290,000.

MCHFT is a busy District General Hospital with a Level 2 Neonatal Unit. All consultant led maternity and in patient gynaecology services are based at Leighton Hospital, Crewe.

The post will incorporate general obstetric and gynaecology commitments.

The on call commitment is provided by a non-resident 3rd on call Consultant.

You must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice and be on the Specialist Register (or be within six months of obtaining their Certificate of Completion of Training).
