We are looking for two Specialty doctors in Palliative Medicine to join our multi-disciplinary team at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice which is situated in NHSGG&C Health Board. The Hospice is seeking to add to its current medical team of one full-time Consultant, one part-time Consultant, a Specialty Doctor and a part time Hospice Physician. At this time of Health and Social Care integration, we are looking for individuals who have experience in Palliative Medicine and wish to join an enthusiastic, progressive, committed and caring multi-disciplinary team whose primary focus is on the patient and their families. The successful candidate would predominantly work within St Joseph's Specialist Palliative Care ward, and support the Community Specialist Palliative Care service and the Edwina Bradley Day Hospice service. There is also a strong educational component to the work and there is an active Education Unit. The Hospice has a commitment to promote further development of its staff and would support a suitable individual intent upon pursuing the Cardiff Palliative Care MSc or other suitable recognised Specialist Palliative Care higher degree.

We offer attractive terms and conditions including excellent training and access to on-site swimming pool and sports facilities. St Margaret of Scotland Hospice is a Direction Body which allows candidates fulfilling certain criteria to continue membership of the Scottish NHS Superannuation Scheme. This relates to both their service and superannuation contributions.

An informal, currently virtual, visit is welcomed and if further details are desired, please contact the Director of Clinical Services on 0141 952 1141. Part time posts will be considered. To apply for this post, please click the apply button.
