Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine
Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Palliative Medicine based at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice, Clydebank, with a view to consideration of a permanent post for an outstanding candidate.
The post holder will be responsible for providing expert strategic support, medical leadership, clinical review and management of patients both within the Hospice and community.
This is a tremendous opportunity to join an imaginative, innovative and committed multidisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care team including Consultants, Specialty Doctors, CNSs, AHPs to provide a comprehensive active rehabilitative palliative care service underpinned by the Hospice’s Core Values.
There is an active Education Centre with a programme of undergraduate nurse and medical student education in palliative care coordinated through Caledonian University and the University of Glasgow respectively.
A full-time appointment (9 PA + 1 SPA) is available although applications are welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time.
Applicants must have full GMC registration and a licence to Practice. Further, applicants must either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT/CESR at the time of the interview. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. Terms and Conditions of Service are those determined by the Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) as amended from time to time.
