Liaison Psychiatry Services
1x wte Older Adult post and 1x wte Adult post
Queen’s Hospital, Burton-upon-Trent
Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a well-managed and financially stable foundation trust with an excellent track record of providing high quality services and we are therefore delighted to be recruiting to these roles.
The Liaison Psychiatry service at Queen’s Hospital, Burton-upon-Trent, has recently been awarded Transformation Funding to develop into a Core24 model, providing a 24/7, all age service. The service provides comprehensive mental health input into the general hospital, with the intention of ensuring parity of esteem for mental health concerns within this environment.
As part of this expansion, we are looking to recruit two Psychiatrists – one each for Older Adults and Working Age Adults - to help shape, develop and enhance these aspects of the service, alongside clinical and non-clinical colleagues. You will support the Liaison team within Queen’s and its community hospitals, as well as the Liaison team(s) in Stafford County Hospital
You will be a valued member of the Collective Leadership, and your ideas for improving the quality of care for our patients, service development and collaborative working will help us work towards PLAN accreditation in the future.
These are new posts in an expanding service, and as such, offer an exciting opportunity for two motivated, skilled and easy-going individuals, to influence the future of this service.
We can offer you
- Flexible working pattern for a better work life balance
- Support with research or audit projects through our strong links with Keele University
- Very strong peer group support within the consultant body
- Truly exciting opportunity to shape the future of psychiatry in Staffordshire and create your own legacy.
Our Clinical Director of Mental Health (South Staffordshire), Dr Emma Lambert, would love to from you, as would Shelley Evans (service Lead for South Staffs CRHT and Liaison Services), on 0300 3033427
