Moondance Cancer Initiative is a new, philanthropist-backed, not-for-profit company dedicated to finding solutions that help more people in Wales survive cancer.
We want to help achieve significant and sustained improvements in cancer survival over the next ten years, through targeted funding and innovation.
The Clinical Director will provide clinical oversight to Moondance’s portfolio of grant investments and projects – helping us to identify potential game-changing innovations, to support them to be trialled in Wales and, where evaluation demonstrates their potential, to encourage uptake of these innovations across the country. Accordingly, you will also play a vital role alongside the Chief Executive as a Moondance ambassador, helping to build our network of friends and partners within Wales and internationally.
The right candidate is likely to be an experienced clinician, with a track record and strong reputation in a relevant field. You’ll be willing to dedicate c. 2 days per week to advancing Moondance’s purpose, working with a small, motivated team in Cardiff.
Are you the impatient optimist we’re looking for?
For an informal conversation about the role, please email our Chief Executive, Dr Megan Mathias (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To apply, please send a CV and covering letter to email@example.com
Closing date: Thursday 15 April 2021.
A tentative date of Thursday 29 April has been set for interviews.
