Intermediate Research Fellowships
THE KAY KENDALL LEUKAEMIA FUND
INTERMEDIATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund invites applications from outstanding biomedical scientists for a four-year intermediate research fellowship to study any aspect of leukaemia.
The research will typically address one or more questions relating to the epidemiology, aetiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis or treatment of leukaemia or other haematological malignancies. Applicants may be of any nationality and should intend to work for at least part of the fellowship in an appropriate institution in the UK. The appointment will be made on either clinical or non-clinical payscales as appropriate, and will normally be taken up within six months of the award. The fellowship will cover the cost of salaries for four years for the fellow and may support one assistant together with costs of laboratory consumables but will not contribute to departmental overheads.
Applications must include a completed application form with all signatures, a scientific proposal of up to six single-spaced pages, and a statement from the Departmental Chairman or Laboratory Director that he/she is prepared to make available all appropriate facilities if the applicant is successful. In addition, it should include references, costings, and CV. The application should be submitted by email only. The deadline for applications is 1 July 2021 with interviews for shortlisted candidates in late 2021.
