Our work is vital work that is filled with moments that make people smile during a time that’s difficult for everyone. It’s about making today matter.

The Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care and services to people affected by life-limiting illness across Ayrshire. Care is provided where there is no cure for the condition, but which improves the quality of each day for people who have a limited time to live. We help people to live as actively as they can to the end of their lives - however long that may be, where ever that may be.

Our in-patient unit has the facility to care for 20 patients in a mix of single, double or three-bedded rooms. We offer a relaxed, homely environment where patients can spend quality time with family and friends.

The Hospice is currently entering an exciting phase in its on-going development as we prepare for a Capital build project, giving us a Hospice fit for the 21st century.

This is a replacement post following retiral and follows a strategic review of the Hospice Medical Service
