Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) provides health and social care services to people across Bedfordshire, Essex, Suffolk and Luton.

Our vision is “working to improve lives” and we work to achieve this in line with our organisational values of being compassionate, open and empowering.

We need highly skilled and motivated people working in our teams, so we can deliver outstanding care to the people who use our services.

We believe that our staff deserve the very best and we offer a range of staff benefits which include a relocation incentive, the chance to work flexibly and excellent training and development opportunities.

EPUT is looking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant to work in our Southend adult community team. The post has become available in the context of a realignment of consultant catchment areas with local primary care networks (PCN) in Southend-on-Sea. After the restructuring of the service, there will be 4 general adult consultant psychiatrists providing jointly the outpatient psychiatric services for the Southend area; the area was previously divided into 3 consultant catchment areas. Each consultant is responsible for a defined catchment area closely aligned to the local primary care networks.

The post holder will be working with 3 community teams, the First Response team (FRT), the Recovery & Wellbeing team and the Intensive Outreach Team (IOT). The patients are allocated to the consultant according to catchment area and will work closely with these 3 teams and provide the medical leadership.
