Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine ( with Specialty Interest)

Fixed Term 12 Months Contract

Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Acute Medicine with Specialty Interest at Whipps Cross University Hospital (Part of Barts Health)

An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the dynamic Acute Medicine team at Whipps Cross University Hospital who are actively seeking to review and develop their services in line with the changing demand. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who will join a team of 10 Consultants in developing and delivering acute medical services. The team promote best practice in the management of emergency medical admissions, discharges and admission avoidance.

The post is for a 10 basic Programmed Activities (PAs). There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to pursue a special interest within other medical specialities and we will explore options of a split role with another specialty if possible.

For new consultants the job plan for this post will include 2.5 SPAs for the first year.
