Older Adult Consultant Psychiatrist - Coleman House, Dover - 5 PA

20 hours (5 PA's) per week plus on-call

£41,048.00 - £55,341.50 per annum
(Full time equivalent: £82,096 - £110,683 per annum)

Plus 0.5PA for on-call and 3% (of a 10 PA salary) Category A availability supplement. This is pro rata for part time staff.

CMHCGOP for Dover/Deal is a joint team located at Coleman House Dover

CMHCGOP Dover/Deal provides a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment service for the over 65 year old population in the Dover and Deal areas. It offers assessment, diagnosis and treatment for the full range of psychiatric conditions including psychological assessments and therapy. The team is made up of Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialty Doctor, Nurses, Occupational therapists, Psychologists, Support Workers and Administrative support.

CMHCGOP Dover/Deal runs a busy Memory Assessment Service for clients of all ages. The Memory Service is MSNAP accredited. The Dementia Service User work is presented locally as the SUNshiner group and the Memory Service is currently also in talks to expand the membership/role of the Trust Dementia Envoys.

This is a community based post, which does not include inpatient responsibilities. The post holder will work with the 10 PA Consultant for Dover and the full time Section 12 Approved Specialty Doctor covering both areas, all located at the team's base at the Mental Health Centre in Dover.

The post holder should have the ability to travel to all locations of the Trust in order to be able to undertake their duties.

Successful applicants must have MRCP or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.

To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases in a timely manner.
