Consultant Psychiatry, Dementia Services

Argyll and Bute

Full-time – 10 PA’s per week

£84,984 - £112,925 per annum pro rata

MS17042154

This is a new post within the Argyll and Bute HSCP and is included in a major redesign of service that has seen the development of the community mental health teams throughout the area. The post is devoted to the further development of services for dementia patients and offers an opportunity to work with a small group of committed clinicians who deliver an excellent standard of care.

The post is for 10 programmed activities (sessions) per week (8.5:1.5 clinical:CPD) and the post holder will be welcomed into a friendly and forward thinking team of consultants where peer support is valued and protected.

There will be an opportunity to build on the service that has operated during Covid-19 restrictions using a combination of remote access to the multi-disciplinary teams which operate in each locality and domiciliary visits when required. There is an active local academic programme. Junior support is provided depending on trainee rotations.

Applicants must be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register with a Licence to Practice or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview.
