£82,096 - £110,683 per annum, plus 0.5PA for on-call and 3% (of a 10 PA salary) Category A availability supplement. This is pro rata for part time staff.

Information specific to the post
The Canterbury & Coastal Community Mental Health Team provides a service to the city of Canterbury, the towns of Faversham, Whitstable, Herne bay, Sandwich and their surrounding villages. The post holder will provide clinical leadership within the Community Mental Health Team alongside 3.5 Consultant colleagues.
Canterbury is well connected to London which is 60 miles to the West on the M2 motorway, and to the Channel Ports of Dover and rail links. Canterbury has two train stations and offers frequent connections to London including a high speed service to London St Pancras (60 minutes or less)
The Channel Tunnel Terminus at Folkestone is within 30 minutes’ drive from Canterbury and provides a shuttle service for cars that reaches Calais in France within 35 minutes, the port of Dover, its ferries to the continent and an international railway station at Ashford are also available within a 30 minute drive of Laurel House. Gatwick Airport is 70 miles from Canterbury.
Successful applicants must have MRCP or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register and be fully registered with the GMC, as well as Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act.
To deliver an effective service it is essential that you are able to travel between bases in a timely manner.
