Acute Services Partnership

Specialising in Education or Research

This is an exciting time to join the Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. A new Joint Stroke Service is being developed as part of our acute services partnership and this has been set up to ensure our local population receives the highest quality and compassionate care.

The new Joint Service will provide 7-day access to a population catchment area of 800,000 people living in and around Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight and will be one of the largest in the UK.

We’re looking to recruit an ambitious consultant clinician to play a pivotal role in the development of our new service; whether you are interested in leading our strategy and service transformation or progressing our education or research opportunities, these posts have been designed to enable you to combine a clinical role with your preferred interest.

As the Strategy and Transformation Lead, you’ll be engaging with Consultant colleagues and other teams across our Partnership to shape and transform, develop new ways of working, share pathway models, systems and processes, supported with access to specialists and resources. As the Education or Research Lead, you’ll strengthen education and research opportunities within the service, through liaison with local stroke networks.

If you are an experienced clinician looking to take your career to the next level, take a look at what we could offer. In addition to the chance to develop your interest, we will provide a competitive remuneration package (including full relocation package if required).

The area offers a great work/life balance; whether it’s the tranquillity of the Isle of Wight, the historic naval character of Portsmouth, Southampton or the New Forest, the area has much to offer. Southampton Airport is also close by with flights to both domestic and international destinations. Direct cross-channel ferry services to France and Spain are also just moments away.

To organise an informal conversation (or visit) with one of our senior team please arrange by contacting: Danielle Antoine-Joseph on 01983 822099 ext: 4871, email: danielle.antoine-joseph@nhs.net or Lesley Simpson: Lesley.simpon10@nhs.net

AAC Panel date (including virtual video tour and stakeholder event):
