Consultant Psychiatrist - PICU (ES1) Maudsley Hospital

South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) has an exciting opportunity and is looking to recruit Substantive Consultant Psychiatrist for female Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit at Maudsley Hospital.

In this role, Consultant Psychiatrist expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment – fully supported by a Specialty and core trainees and first-class multidisciplinary team. The Consultant will have a unique opportunity to work with the executive leadership team to develop effective interface between services Liaison services and the Acute and Crisis pathway in Southwark. The role is for the individual interested in service improvement and development of their leadership skills.

It is a condition of your employment that you are, and remain a fully registered medical practitioner and are included on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry held by the General Medical Council (GMC), or are eligible for inclusion into the register within six months of your appointment and continue to hold a licence to practice. You will be approved under Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 and be an Approved Clinician or able to achieve this within 3 months of your appointment.

The salary range for this post is in accordance with the NHS consultant salary scale (whole time), plus London Weighting (whole time).
