Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with interest in Fetal Medicine/ High Risk Pregnancy
This is a replacement post, created as a result of the Trust’s renewed commitment to women’s health and a retirement of one of our team. It is part of a plan to change how we deliver women’s services at the Trust. It builds on the development of women’s healthcare that the trust has undertaken over the last 3-4 years.
Main duties of the job The Consultant workforce at the trust increased by 2 Consultants this year (interviewed Nov 2019) and by a further 2 Consultants in April 2020, together with an increase in our specialist nursing complement. The role will also support the expansion of our services into Women’s Health hubs as part of the national Maternity Improvement Plan.
The Trust is committed to working in collaboration with its local partners and there is potential for us to develop close ties including sessions with Liverpool Women’s Hospital. This will depend on the interests and requirements of the two organisations and the successful candidate’s skills.
This role is for an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who wishes in time to become the trust’s lead colposcopist.
