Staff Grade Doctor – PICU and Adult Acute

We are now looking for a Locum Staff Grade Doctor (options of self-employ or contractual employ) to work in our PICU and Adult Acute units.

Salary up to £120K, dependent on experience.

About us

Mill Lodge is a new 26 bedded hospital for adults of 18 and above who are experiencing acute mental issues. Situated in the middle of Kegworth, close to Nottingham, Derby and Leicester it has good and easy access. The hospital has 4 wards of either 6 or 7 beds and caters for both male and female in single sex accommodation.

Mill Lodge Hospital provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men and women on a formal or informal basis. We support individuals experiencing difficulties due to range of conditions.

The role

We are seeking to appoint a speciality grade doctor to work primarily on our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Acute Units based within Mill Lodge Hospital. You will be working under supervision of our Psychiatric Consultant together with our Medical Director for the hospital. You will be providing quality, inspiring innovation and delivering value enabling our patients to receive a truly integrated and holistic approach to their treatment, regardless of complexity or severity.

You will be working alongside our knowledgeable and experience multidisciplinary clinical team and will be responsible for the medical and psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients with psychiatric illnesses.

Full clinical supervisions will be provided to the successful candidate by our Medical Director. The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in ongoing research and clinical audit programmes under the supervision of Dr Vinod Singh, Medical Director. May include some on-call commitment. If this sounds perfect, then we have the role for you!

The Ideal Staff Grade Doctors

  • Must have minimum of 2 years post qualification experience including Psychiatric Intensive Care and Acute patient care experience
  • Must hold a GMC Registration
  • Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 approved
  • Full, clean driving licence
