Our services

Whangarei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services with our three rural hospitals. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres and a population of 180,000.

We are re-developing our endoscopy facilities and will move to a dedicated suite within the next 12 months. You will help us develop a sustainable service for bowel disease and introduce bowel screening.

Your skills

We want candidates with a real enthusiasm for teaching who are team players committed to improving and developing services to meet the population need. You must be eligible to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand and we can assist with this and work visa.

You will also possess FRACP or an equivalent qualification. Trainees within a few months of completing FRACP training are welcome to express an interest. ERCP experience is desirable, but not essential.
