Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Anaesthetist with with special interest in Obstetric Anaesthesia, based at the Rosie Hospital, Cambridge.
Based on the same site as Addenbrooke’s, The Rosie Hospital is a Level 3 maternity and women’s hospital and is the regional centre of excellence for maternity and newborn care.

We have a three bedded obstetric close observation unit, staffed by a dedicated high risk midwifery team, which admits over 60 women per month for Intensive Care Society Level 1 and 2 care. There are 6 antenatal anaesthetic high risk clinics per month and a twice monthly multidisciplinary clinic for women with cardiac disease.
As part of the obstetric anaesthesia group the successful candidate will undertake a regular obstetric session, cover ad-hoc sessions and be part of the obstetric anaesthesia on-call team. As a successful teaching hospital, there is unparalleled capacity for teaching, including involvement in the high fidelity simulation centre, monthly in-house PROMPT courses since 2019, and research within the department as well as the wider biomedical campus.
Applicants will be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT (or equivalent) in Anaesthesia or be within six months of receiving a CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
