F/T Consultant Psychiatrist (Acute Inpatient)

Location: Burbage Ward, Michael Carlisle Centre, Sheffield

Hours: 10 PA’s per week

We are looking for a committed individual to work in one of our Acute Inpatient wards. The successful applicant will work closely with other Consultant Psychiatrists in our wards and other teams.

The successful applicant will be based at the Michael Carlisle Centre which is located in the South West of the City of Sheffield. Burbage ward has 14 beds for people with mental health problems and 5 beds for people with substance misuse. The post holder will provide consultant medical input to the care of the people admitted for mental health problems. Consultant medical input for people admitted for treatment of substance misuse is provided by the 2 consultants in the substance misuse service.

The successful candidate may wish to develop a role within medical leadership, medical education, quality improvement or a special clinical interest and such development would be supported by the trust and be negotiated with the individual candidate.
