Ng Teng Fong General and Jurong Community Hospital are recently purpose built, co-located, state of art hospitals, providing multispecialty acute, long-term specialist outpatient and rehabilitation care in the Western cluster, in public healthcare sector in Singapore. There are more than a thousand inpatient beds (in total), sizable specialist outpatient clinics. We have best in class EMR with HIMMS 7 certification, progressively linking with other hospitals and primary care providers, towards island wide one EMR system. We have close links with large community maintenance dialysis care providers, Regional Health System and shared Renal residency program with University teaching hospital in Singapore.

The Renal team holistically cares for patients with the entire spectrum of kidney diseases, across the continuum of acute to chronic kidney disease, through ‘at risk’ screening, to management of acute/advanced, disease including kidney replacement therapy and maximum conservative management of kidney failure. Renal Physicians carry out kidney biopsy, haemo and peritoneal dialysis catheter insertions and diagnostic kidney ultrasound, in our integrated Kidney Unit. Clinical operations are professionally managed, with support of multidisciplinary team of experienced and dedicated, renal coordinators, counsellor, dietitian, medical social worker, psychologist and a team of haemo and peritoneal dialysis nurses.

Excellent Urological, Vascular, interventional, diagnostic Radiology, surgical and laparoscopy services, are available on site.

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate renal physician with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to start at Associate Consultant or Consultant grade with interest in clinical Internal Medicine, teaching, research, with the following job requirements:

  • Basic Medical Degree with post-graduate qualification such as Master of Medicine, MRCP, registrable by the Singapore Medical Council
  • Be accredited as a Specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health such as Specialist Certification by one of the medical specialty boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Completion of Training (CCT or CCST) awarded by a competent authority of the UK/Ireland or one of the Royal Colleges in Australia
  • Possess the relevant years of experience in the respective field
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills
