Consultant Haematologist with interests in Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria (PNH) and Aplastic Anaemia (AA)

Required to fill this new 8 PA post, this is an exciting opportunity to join the National Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria (PNH) service based at St James’ Hospital which is recognised in the UK and worldwide as leaders in this disease area. There will be particular emphasis in relation to the expanding trials workload and research interests in that area. You will be expected to contribute actively to the clinical and laboratory PNH and AA service. You will participate in the out of hours cover for the PNH Service (support by telephone for patients from throughout the United Kingdom). There is opportunity for you to further develop your scientific interest in PNH and related disorders. The clinical trials portfolio is extensive and this post will help support that infrastructure and allow it to further develop. The post holder will be involved in developing, opening and treating patients within clinical trials with the team, as part of their role. You will participate in clinical attending for in-patient care for patients with PNH and AA.
