The Location:

People move to Lincolnshire, primarily, for the quality of life on offer: a real mix of bustling historic market towns, idyllic villages, miles of un-spoilt coastline, areas of outstanding natural beauty and one of the greatest cathedral cities in Britain.

Property prices are typically 60% of the average of those in the south east – first time buyers can take their first step on the property ladder for as little as £60,000.

The average price for property in Lincolnshire stood at £210,546 in April 2019. This is a rise of 0.15% in the last three months (since January 2019) and rise of 1.82% since 12 months ago. In terms of property types, flats in Lincolnshire sold for an average of £125,761 and terraced houses for £147,278.

If you require a larger family home or just like lots of space, then £250,000 will buy you something very special indeed.

Lincolnshire also has a diverse and fast growing economy, low unemployment, a healthy environment, low crime rates, health and education facilities well above the national average and affordable housing.

Lincolnshire is a county with plenty on offer to enhance any type of lifestyle by day or by night, in towns, villages and in Lincoln itself. That’s why there’s something for everyone in Lincolnshire.

Famed for its cathedral, castle and history, Lincoln has transformed itself in the past 20 years and is now a lively university city with 12,000-plus students and major industries supporting the city and county’s thriving retail, entertainment and nightlife scenes

Towns and villages sit in stunning countryside, including Boston under expansive skies in the heart of the fens, Grantham in the rolling countryside of South Lincolnshire and Louth, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds – officially recognised as an area of outstanding natural beauty

Opportunity for both water and land based outdoor activities is exceptional, and offers an excellent work life balance.

Lincolnshire is a great place to live because:-

  • Affordable housing
  • Easy access to London by rail (travel time to King’s Cross would be 1 hour and 20mins approx.)
  • Excellent schools across the Lincolnshire region
  • Picturesque rural setting
  • Coastal living
  • Historic market towns and quaint villages, lots of independent shops

Why Should you Apply?

  • Opportunities for on-the-job training
  • Great Staff Trust Benefits

We are always keen to welcome highly skilled, committed and compassionate individuals to our hospitals – people who put patients at the heart of everything they do and are ready to help us achieve our vision: excellence in rural healthcare.

Our values guide everything we do. They are:

  • Patient-centred care
  • Safety
  • Excellence
  • Compassion
  • Respect

If you believe in them too, then you are ready to join the ULHT team. Over 7,500 people work for the Trust and many have been here a long time, as they find that they don’t need to go anywhere else to find a fulfilling career in healthcare.

Applicants should be fully registered with the UK General Medical Council or be within 6 months of completion of CCT at the time of interview.
