The Healthcare Group, Guernsey is looking for a full-time GP with the view to becoming a Partner.  We are a CHKS accredited private General Practice that provides high-level patient-centred care.

We are the largest GP group in Guernsey with four surgeries across the Island covering 25,000 patients. In addition to standard general practice, we provide services that include minor surgery, sports medicine, physiotherapy, osteopathy, cosmetic procedures and forensic medicine.  There are excellent secondary care services provided by a modern hospital with access to sophisticated radiological and pathology facilities.

Guernsey is a beautiful island located between the UK and France. It is very safe, with a strong sense of community. There are excellent schools and good transport links to the UK, with a flight time of under an hour.

Guernsey has taken a robust approach to the COVID pandemic with very tight border controls and excellent track, trace and isolate processes in place. To date, there has been no evidence of community transmission since May, and Guernsey is currently fully unlocked with no isolation for forthcoming interviews.

We are seeking a GP with MRCGP who is registered with the GMC and on the GP Register.  Our ideal candidate would have a specialised interest such as aviation medicine, rheumatology, legal medicine, dermatology or occupational medicine. Many of our Partners hold additional qualifications to MRCGP.

Full-time GPs work nine sessions over five week days. Opening times for the surgery are between 8am and 6pm.  There would be a small amount of out-of-hours work.

We are happy to receive applications from any doctors within the Islands and any registrars or GPs in the UK.  We provide an excellent salary and remuneration package.

Please note that primary care in Guernsey and the Channel Islands is not part of the NHS.
