Locum Consultant Care Physician

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate

 Based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, SE Wales

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the acute medical team in Royal Gwent Hospital, located in Newport. You could be joining an enthusiastic, vibrant team during an ambitious reconfiguration of acute medical services. There is support to increase the consultant workforce with further substantive positions across the Health Board. We welcome applicants with a specialty interest and a desire to work flexibly to maintain work-life balance.

The successful applicants will join an established team of 10 physicians working in acute medicine who work flexibly to include both specialist interests and a work-life balance. We aim for a team of dedicated and enthusiastic physicians to manage medical patients at the front door 7 days per week.

The Health Board actively supports consultant doctors to undertake funded 3 month formal sabbaticals through an annual application process.

Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.
