Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Child and Adolescent
Psychiatrist to join the well established and expanding Neurodevelopmental
Team at Ealing CAMHS, West London NHS Trust.
The post-holder will join the existing 0.7 WTE substantive Consultant
Psychiatrists in the Neurodevelopmental team to jointly lead transformation
of the service, including a waiting list initiative. The team has been successful
in a bid for additional funds to provide additional clinical staff and access to
web-based assessment tools. The post-holder will also have the opportunity
to work with another Consultant Psychiatrists within Ealing CAMHS (their
focus is the Children and Families and Adolescent Teams respectively).
This is an exciting time to be joining our Child & Adolescent Services with
considerable change taking place across the 3 London Boroughs in the
Directorate (Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow). In addition to
the Neurodevelopmental Service transformation, the Ealing CAMH Service
is active in a Phase 1 New Care Models Programme (focussed on improved
use of Tier 4 beds and development of crisis interventions), development of
Child Wellbeing Practitioners, Trailblazer for the new Mental health Support
Teams in Schools
Ealing CAMHS offers comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Services, for children, young people and families in the 0-18 age range. It
is a community based out patient service characterised by family centred
and individually tailored treatment packages. There are close links with
colleagues in Tier 2 CAMHS services, Acute and Community Paediatrics,
Education, Social Services, Primary Care, and Adult Mental Health Services.
The post holder will take a leadership role alongside their consultant
colleagues and lead professionals.
