Senior Clinical Fellow In Anaesthesia
Applications are invited for 2 Senior Clinical Fellow Posts in Anaesthesia.
The appointments are to commence in January 2021 for a fixed term period of three years, after a probationary period of 6 months.
Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists, London or equivalent qualification is essential.
Interested applicants must have minimum of four years anaesthetic experience. This is a non-training post and does not have deanery approval for training.
The department at HUTH will provide educational opportunities to support the successful candidate to pursue the certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR).
The successful candidates will have a named educational supervisor and will be entitled to 15 days of study leave in a year. There is potential to develop subspecialty interest and to work towards specialist registration through the CESR.
The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a ‘training post’, full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK, sponsorship will be required.
The duties of this post are equivalent to a senior post-fellowship specialist registrar including out of hours work and provision of anaesthesia under supervision.
The appointee will be based in HUTH and will have opportunities to gain experience in a wide range of Anaesthetic specialties and undertake audit/QI project with the support of the department. The elective anaesthetic specialties include but not limited to airway, head and neck, regional, obstetrics, paediatrics, Neuro, cardiac, vascular, major GI surgery, robotic surgery and plastics.
