Our service users are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Autism.

If you are passionate about improving the lives of Children & Young People with ASD and supporting the development of a new state of the art service,
we are so pleased you are reading this!

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, approachable and motivated Consultant to join our Children & Young People’s Autism Team, which is a multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention service.

This is an exciting opportunity as our Children & Young People Autism Team has recently grown to now include Children & Young People up to the age of 19 and up to 25 for those with an Education & Health Care Plan.

A multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Nursing & Psychology. The service is one of several specialist CAMHS teams covering South Staffordshire and the postholder will work with 6 existing CAMHS Children and adolescent teams covering South Staffordshire as well as our strong Community Paediatrics Team. We are also looking to develop an integrated neuro - developmental offer in the future.

“Since transferring to MPFT it has been an exciting time to be involved
in the development of the autism service and by working closely with
colleagues from other services within MPFT, we have been able to improve
all services for families we work with.”

“After joining the team in February I have been impressed by the wealth
of skills and knowledge of the multi-disciplinary team within the autism
service. There is a culture of respect for all professions and working
towards the best outcomes for the families”

The team is currently based in Stafford, travel may be required across the locality, however the Trust supports remote working wherever possible.

If you share our values and would like to join us on this exciting journey, we would love to hear from you!
