Senior Medical Roles
Approaches invited for senior medical roles in Elderly Medicine, incorporating Proactive Care for the Older Person Undergoing Surgery (POPS)
Dorset County Hospital is encouraging approaches from senior doctors. We are looking for the right individuals to join our growing team of consultants and senior nursing and allied health professionals in the delivery of innovative and dynamic services with the goal of improving the lives of frail and elderly people.
We recognise that in order to attract the best candidates we need to have an open mind to the ideas and aspirations of the best of you. We have opportunities in the development of all aspects of a comprehensive Elderly Medicine department, including POPS; Rapid Assessment Clinics; Surgical Frailty including Ortho-Geriatrics and Acute Geriatrics, joining a multi professional team of like-minded individuals.
Dorset County Hospital regards itself as innovative and embraces new models of care that deliver for our patients and their families including opportunities to integrate care systems with primary and community care alongside an active research team. The population of West Dorset has more people over 65 than anywhere else in the UK and our Department for Elderly Medicine is regarded as a key service in our future hospital.
The Hospital serves rural Dorset, a beautiful place to live and work. The area provides a host of idyllic villages to base yourself or larger market towns and has an excellent provision of both state and private educational establishments. Outdoor sports include Olympic water sports facilities and miles of rugged coastline and open space whilst still connected to London, Bournemouth and more via mainline rail services.
If you would like to start a new career in Dorset we would like to hear from you so please contact us or come for a visit.
