Specialty Doctor in ENT

Based Royal Gwent Hospital

Full Time (10 Sessions)

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity has arisen to enhance and support ENT service provision linked to the New Specialist and Critical Care, Aneurin Bevan Grange University Hospital.

Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor in ENT based at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport with sessions in Grange University Hospital and Nevill Hall Hospital ,Abergavenny. The post is available from August 2020

The successful candidate will join the 8 existing Consultants, 4 Specialist Registrars, 2 Specialty Doctors and 5 Junior Doctors in the provision of the specialist and routine ENT services within the department. A full range of ENT surgery is carried out. Close relationships are maintained with Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Radiotherapy and Dermatological Departments. There is an active Postgraduate Centre.

The suitably qualified clinician will participate in the 2nd On-call joint rota (currently under discussion due to the Grange University Hospital Plans). The contract will be for 10 sessions plus on-call supplement

Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and shall have completed 4 years full time postgraduate training ( or its equivalent gained on a part time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the specialty; or

Shall have equivalent experience and competencies

Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.
