Locum Consultant in Infectious Diseases
10 PAs per week
Applications are invited for two locum consultant posts within the Infection team at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. One post is for a consultant in Infectious diseases and General Internal Medicine (based at Charing Cross and St Mary’s hospital) and the other post is for a consultant in Infectious diseases and Microbiology (based at Charing Cross Hospital). Both posts are full time 10PAs but applications from candidates willing to work part-time are welcome. Among other infection activities, the successful candidates will actively participate in the delivery of the infectious diseases and OPAT services and will have a special liaison with our busy acute medical teams.
You will join a team of 16 other infection consultants spread across infectious diseases, microbiology, virology and pharmacy who work across all Trust sites. The ID/GIM consultant will also join the acute medicine colleagues at Charing Cross Hospital. The departments provides training for specialist trainees in medical microbiology, infectious diseases, virology and acute medicine and have a history of promoting academic achievement.

The post holders must hold MRCP and/or FRCPath (or equivalent) and either be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining their specialist registration at the time of the interview.
