Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow post within Urology at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

University Hospital of North Midlands is a large acute teaching hospital in Staffordshire with two sites- Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke on Trent and County Hospital in Stafford.

Royal Stoke University Hospital is a large, acute hospital in the West Midlands and offers a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. It is a Urology Cancer Unit and regional Trauma Centre, with an established Robotic Program. We have good transport links, being close to the M6 and A50, and lie roughly centrally between Manchester and Birmingham to the North and South, and Derby and Shrewsbury to the East and West.

We are looking for a dynamic, high calibre Clinical Fellow with training in general urology to deliver first class clinical care to the Urology Surgical service at UHNM.  You will join an enthusiastic and dedicated team, working alongside the Consultants, Specialist Registrars, other Speciality doctors and a very experienced team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists and the post holder will gain a wide range of experience in all aspects of urological work.

The post incorporates on call commitments, surgical training, research and audit work. The post will be comparable to current ST posts with respect to responsibilities, audit and opportunities for training with designated supervised theatre sessions. The Urology Department at the University Hospital of North Midlands provides a broad range of specialist urological training in areas such as specialist Oncological, Laparoscopic, Robotic Surgery and Lithotripsy services. The training provided in this post is very flexible according to the needs of the post holder, but in particular, it would suit trainees wishing to pursue a career in Urology and in the process of applying for Higher Urological Training.
