MEDICAL OFFICER-GENERAL PRACTITIONER-DUBLIN CITY NURSING HOME GROUP

Cpl Healthcare are delighted to be recruiting for the role of Medical Officer(MO)/General Practitioner for one of Ireland's most exciting nursing home groups, Dublin based. 

The role is to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality medical services to the residents/patients in the group homes as required. Duties will include pre-admission assessment, admission and registration of residents, provision of care to residents/patients with a variety of needs such as Covid Rehab, Respite, Convalescence and post-operative Rehabilitative Care, patients awaiting home care package, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, short term Acquired Brain injury care, IV antibiotics, along with their core service, which is long term residential care for older people.

Given the number of residents, this role requires the successful applicant to be available onsite on a full-time basis, working Monday-Friday. There is flexibility with start and finish times and it is currently anticipated there will be little or no on-call.

The successful applicant will form part of the Senior Management Team with involvement in strategic and operational decision making processes for the homes.

Interested applicants are required to: 

  • Be a registered General Practitioner on the live GP register of the IMC
  • Ideally have experience in the elderly care sector
  • Be comfortable with the prescribing and administration of IV therapy
  • Have a working knowledge of Electronic prescribing and electronic recording  systems 
  • Have good communications skills
  • Be eligible to work in Ireland
