Consultant Radiologist with an interest in haemato-oncology or uro-gynae radiology with PET CT
The advertised post is for a new substantive consultant radiologist with an interest in onco-radiology and a subspeciality in either uro-gynae-radiology or haemato-oncolgy and PET CT at Barts Health NHS Trust.
We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our existing team of 52 radiologists to deliver the service and to support our active academic programme.
A specialist interest in lymphoma or uro-gynae radiology with PET CT experience is essential. The post will be based primarily at St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals.
There is a large oncology unit at Barts including uro-oncology, gynae-oncology, haematological malignancies, breast, melanoma and thoracic malignancies as well as GI and head and neck malignancies. The successful candidate will form part of an existing team of 13 consultant radiologists in oncology and breast imaging. They will have the opportunity to develop subspecialty interests in any of the above areas.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent experience in general imaging, oncological imaging, and acute general radiology, including trauma. PET CT experience is desirable but not essential.
They will undertake general ultrasound, general and sub speciality oncology CT and MRI. Experience of US or CT guided liver and other oncological biopsies is desirable.
The candidates will participate in a general on-call and weekend reporting session rota on a 1 in 20 basis.
Barts Health has a large number of clinical trials supported by the imaging department. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in RECIST/ mod iRECIST/CHESON trial reporting for oncology clinical trials.
