Permanent Consultant Emergency Surgeon (10 PA’s) with subspecialty interest in Coloproctology and Benign Colorectal Surgery
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join the General Surgical team at Barts Health NHS Trust (Whipps Cross Hospital).
The post holder will also be involved in the General Surgery service provided at Whipps Cross Hospital. Part of the 8 member Surgical team covering the hospitals non-elective and elective patients across the day case, endoscopy, benign and colorectal specialities. Successful candidates will also take part in the surgery on call rota with a 1 in 6 frequency Surgeon of the Week and 1:8 Surgeon of the Week end.
It is an exciting time to join the General surgery team as there are plans to build a new hospital and develops new pathways in conjunction with opening a new Surgical Assessment Unit.
Candidates will be provided with great opportunities and facilities to develop their careers and interests. Applicants should be eligible for full registration with the General Medical Council and be on the specialist register and possess a CCT in General and Colorectal Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent, or be within 5 months of obtaining it.
