Locum Consultant in Haematology
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant Haematologist to join our team at the Royal Surrey Hospital (RSH). The Trust is delighted to invite an experienced or new Locum Consultant Haematologist to join our friendly and motivated team in a temporary 10PA role – contract duration 9 months. This post will be advertised as a substantive post once the AAC panel date has been confirmed.
The successful applicant will be based at the RSH in Guildford, providing care to our expanding Oncology services.
The Royal Surrey Hospital Foundation Trust provides specialist Cancer and Haemato-oncological care, including complex Cancer surgery, to the population of the South West Surrey and Hampshire (previously SWSH cancer network), a catchment area of approximately 1.2 million. Non-surgical oncological treatment for these patients is provided at the St. Luke’s Cancer Centre, which is an integral part of the Trust. There are close links with surrounding cancer units and the Surrey Clinical Research Centre.
At St Luke’s cancer centre, we aim to provide first class, high quality care for all of our patients in a friendly and professional setting. Our services have received national recognition and praise and our patients benefit from the latest and most innovative treatments available, delivered by a team of committed and highly skilled staff. You will be joining our team of 27 oncologists, supported by a team of Specialty Registrars, Specialty Doctors, SHOs, AHP’s and Specialist Nurses.
This is a 10 PA post consisting of ward work, outpatient clinics and MDT meetings (see sample job plan in attached job description). In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration.
