The Centre brings together a wide range of internationally renowned scientists and clinicians focused on the mission to improve outcomes for patients with cardiovascular conditions through research-led discovery and innovation.

A current area of major clinical focus is to identify signatures and trajectories that enable a more personalised and targeted approach to the management of heart failure. The Fellow will develop a suitable interdisciplinary PhD project aligned with the Centre theme on heart failure signatures, which will involve one or more of: AI/machine learning applied to clinical cardiovascular research, electronic health records, multimodality biomarkers, The project will be shaped by the Fellow under guidance from the appropriate Centre PI(s), and an external Fellowship application will subsequently be prepared. Additional Centre funding may be available for exceptional candidates. Training in data science will be provided as part of our partnership schemes. Start date of the position to be agreed.

Applications should be directed to the King’s BHF Centre Manager, Silvia Pedroni via the apply button with (a) a full CV (b) a short statement (max 1 page) of motivation and clinical academic areas of interest.
