King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with over 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 13,000 staff based across five main sites in South East London and Kent.

This is a 10PA consultant post in diagnostic Neuroradiology primarily based at King’s College Hospital and also includes sessions at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) as part of the King’s Health Partnership. The programmed activities are split 7:3 KCH:GSTT. At GSTT there is an extensive sub specialty ENT radiology service with 6 MDMs, and there may be an option for CT and MRI head & neck/ ENT reporting as well as contribution to radiotherapy planning. However, candidates without Head &Neck /ENT Radiology experience are still encouraged to apply.

The post will have an on-call commitment and the post holders will be expected to contribute to the performance and governance agenda of the division. The post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate training.

You must be fully registered with the GMC and hold a Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent to be eligible for interview.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years), therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
