This advert is for a full time Medical Oncology Consultant post with an interest in Lung and Breast malignancies. The post is to work with clinical commitments in Brighton and Sussex BSUH Trust and East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust (Eastbourne and Hastings) working with a team of oncologists who work at these hospital sites already. In addition, peer support, research, teaching opportunities and educational links with all the Sussex Oncologists happen with regular departmental governance and CPD meetings in Brighton.
The “Sussex Cancer Centre Oncology Service” is a team of oncologists who are employed through Brighton and Sussex Universities Hospitals NHS Trust but working across the county providing clinical and medical oncology care to the whole of Sussex. This includes provision of clinical non-surgical cancer treatments across 3 hospital trusts and 5 locations with outpatient clinics and chemotherapy activity in Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, Hayward’s Heath and Worthing.
The Sussex Oncology Service is advertising a number new posts to join the team on the South Coast including advanced practitioners, Physician Associates and additional nursing appointments. The team are expanding their workforce to acknowledge the increasing number of patients and complexity of treatments as well as re-providing work from clinicians who are changing their working practice.
