Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Rheumatology based at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, and with the option of contributing to the general medical on-call rota.

The department is responsible for providing secondary care services to the population of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in relation to prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all rheumatological conditions. There are a number of special interest and combined clinics and a rheumatology multidisciplinary triage and treatment team. There is close liaison with primary care and a strong focus on teaching and research.

Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.  They will also be required to be on the Specialist Register for General Medicine if participating in the general medical on-call rota.
