Locum Consultant in General Medicine and Gastroenterology

The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley, Orpington Hospital, and some services at Beckenham Beacon and Queen Mary’s Sidcup.
The Trust is recognised internationally for its work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac, haemato-oncology, fetal medicine, stroke, major trauma, and Emergency Department.
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join King’s as Consultant Physicians with an interest in Gastroenterology. This new post (fixed-term 12 months) is primarily to provide support to the Modernising Medicine transformation project
The post-holder will provide weekday ward cover to one Medical ward and participate in the on-call rota for general internal medicine at King’s (not including overnight). When not participating in these duties there will be an opportunity to provide and/or develop a specialist interest in Gastroenterology. Participation in the academic and educational life of the Department will be actively encouraged. Please note there is no on-call commitment to Gastroenterology or GI bleeding in this post and overnight on-calls are not required.
