Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. This is a substantive post within the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire. This is a full time post of 10PAs, however less than full time hours will be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Provide Specialist Restorative Dentistry services as part of a multidisciplinary team for patients with Head and Neck Cancer and working with the Orthodontic department to implement multidisciplinary care for patients with hypodontia.

You will deliver specialist high quality Restorative Dentistry advisory/treatment service for appropriate referrals, taking into account the service constraints.

The post holder will work alongside the Oral & Maxillofacial department to offer advice and treatment for patients with complex facial trauma/dental trauma.

This role will also include upholding relevant management duties for the proper functioning of the department and participating in clinical audit and clinical governance. The post holder is expected to take an active role in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the department’s business plan within the context of the Directorate.
