Hours: 0.8 wte (8 sessions/option also full time 10 sessions) 

Applications are invited for the immediately available post of Consultant in Consultant in  Geriatric Medicine with expertise Frailty

The successful candidate will join our Clyde Acute sector which delivers a full range of Older People and Stroke Services from 3 Acute hospital sites Vale of Leven Hospital, Inverclyde Royal Infirmary and the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Joining a well-established and friendly Clyde sector team of 12 consultants you will be supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team including junior medical grade staff, Advance Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals and support staff all committed to improving the patient pathway to promote and deliver high standards of patient care, outcomes, experience, safety and quality for elderly and frail people. 

The sector has 1,416 inpatient beds and approximately 64, 200 inpatient cases, 34, 000 day cases and 120, 000 ED attendances annually.
