Consultant in Acute Medicine & sub-specialty of choice
Applications are invited for two Consultant posts in Acute Medicine and sub-specialty of choice to work across the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough sites in Cardiff.
We anticipate that the appointees will be able to broaden the already existing sub-specialty mix in acute medicine of stroke, diabetes & endocrinology, respiratory medicine, cardiology, pharmacology, and renal medicine. The Acute Physicians play a central role in developing and improving pathways as well as clinical outcomes for medical patients in the Unscheduled Care stream and hospital in-patients.
As well as Acute Physician session commitments, the successful candidates will be encouraged to continue their sub-specialty of choice.
Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
