Consultant in Community Paediatrics

We are seeking to appoint a consultant Community Paediatrician with specialist interest in Physical Disability, but we can accommodate applicants with other interests that would complement our current workforce.  

 This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly innovative integrated neurodevelopment and disability service. We have full electronic health records and operate a paperless system. 

We are set up for full remote home working with laptops, desktops for home office, Microsoft Teams, Attend Anywhere Virtual Consulting Platform and other digital devices. The successful applicant can work with full flexibility including compressed week and annualised hours.

 This arrangement will continue even after lifting of COVID 19 restrictions. The Lead Clinician is an expert in Digital Health and Clinical Informatics and the department is committed to providing as many contacts by virtually through digital platforms as safely possible.

We have a strong multidisciplinary team for complex health needs (Community Paediatrics, therapy services, paediatric psychology, community children’s nursing, neurodisability specialist nursing, specialist family support and Dietetics).  We are part of an integrated neurodevelopmental service with CAMHS that is recognised as a model of best practice nationally.

CPFT is a member of Cambridge University Health Partners and as such provides excellent teaching and research opportunities in partnership with the University of Cambridge.   We host Core and Higher Specialty Grid Trainees.

Peterborough has excellent road and rail links with London (50 minutes to Kings Cross) and the North. The area is surrounded by beautiful countryside and has several excellent state and private schools.
