Clinical Development Fellow in Renal
NHS Grampian would like to invite applicants to apply for an exciting opportunity in the Renal department in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The Clinical Developmental Fellowship (CDF) programme is suitable for trainees who have recently completed (Aug '19 or Aug'20) the UK Foundation Programme, Core Surgical Training or Core Medical Training. This post is for 6 months from 5 August 2020.
In addition to the clinical component of the post, you will be assigned to an area of developmental interest in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen: such as Medical Education and Simulation training, Quality Improvement, Research and Development, or Leadership and Management. These activities will be supported through a mentorship programme.
The successful candidate will be contracted for 40hrs per week – 28 hours per week on average undertaking clinical activities; 12 hours per week on average will be protected for developmental activities and there will be an out-of-hours commitment. The post holder will be paid at ST level based on their previous experience. A banding supplement relevant to the Out of Hours component of their rotas will also be received.
The post is of high educational value and supported by the University of Aberdeen Medical School. However, it is not recognised for training by the Postgraduate Dean.
