Consultant Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon – New Zealand

Location: Hutt Hospital, Wellington

About the role

Hutt Hospital, located in Lower Hutt and part of Hutt Valley District Health Board is a busy 260 general district hospital, serving a population of 140,000.

Our ORL service is seeking to appoint a new generally trained Consultant Otolaryngologist with Fellowship training in head and neck oncological resection. Here, you'll work with a team of like-minded colleagues and exceptional staff in a collaborative environment. You will be joining three other otolaryngologists at Hutt, and be part of a sub-regional team of seven Consultants.

All our surgeons do a mix of general otolaryngology and sub-specialty work. Existing sub-specialty interests are rhinology, paediatric ORL, otology, head and neck and laryngology. Our service works closely with an excellent plastic surgical service who participate in head and neck MDM and provide excellent reconstructive support including free flaps. Bi-monthly head and neck MDMs with oncology and allied health support occur.

To work with us

You will need to hold vocational registration with the NZ Medical Council (or be eligible to apply) as well as have experience in general otolaryngology and sub-specialty work.
