We are seeking to recruit to the role of full-time Consultant in Dermatology to support the current delivery of general clinical dermatology and skin oncology services. Development of specialist interests will be encouraged. Teledermatology is predicted to become an increasing area of practice as we cover a large geographical area in England and parts of Wales. We have regular educational meetings including dermatopathology, complex cases and audit and education afternoons. We have a regular teaching timetable of medical students and GP trainee.
The Department has close links with dermatology departments in surrounding counties and Wales. We have excellent relationships and work closely with other specialties at the trust such as plastic surgery, ENT, rheumatology, acute medicine and with our primary care colleagues as we all strive for excellent dermatological care for our patients. We are at an extremely exciting time with developments afoot within our department for bespoke surgical and outpatient facilities at our Gaol street site.
In addition to our consultant staff, our clinical team includes 4 associate specialist dermatology doctors, 5 clinical nurse specialists covering inflammatory dermatoses, skin cancer and paediatrics.
If you are seeking personal development opportunities, whether it be clinical, managerial, sub-specialty, medical education or simply a better work life balance, we can support you. With full and part time job plans available which will include dedicated PA’s in specific subspecialty interests we’d be more than happy to discuss your needs. Candidates are encouraged to visit/contact the Department and discuss the post with prospective colleagues.
