Substantive contract

Applications are invited for a substantive 10PAs Consultant post based within the Clinical Neurophysiology Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. This post will supplement the existing Consultant Clinical Neurophysiology team providing a broad range of Clinical Neurophysiology investigations for children, and will cover the four main areas of Departmental activity; EEG, EMG, telemetry and intra-operative neurophysiology.

We are the largest paediatric neurological centre in the UK and the principal provider of specialist child neurology services, both emergency and elective, for the North Thames region and the surrounding counties. The Clinical Neurophysiology Department provides support both the Neurological services and for a range of other services across the Trust, notably Intensive Care.

Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust is a postgraduate teaching hospital, linked with the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH). The Trust has 368 beds and provides a comprehensive range of paediatric specialties for tertiary level care.

The successful candidate must possess full GMC registration and be on the specialist register for Clinical Neurophysiology (CCT or equivalent), or be within 6 months of award of CCT in Clinical Neurophysiology by date of interview.

The post will be a 10 PA post and is expected to contribute to the on call rota, currently a 1 in 6, anticipated to be 1 in 7 from 2020. The basic salary range for this post is £79,860 to £107,668 per annum plus £2,162 per annum London Weighting.
